82. Al – Infitaar

| 1. | Izas samaaa’un fatarat | When the Sky is cleft asunder; | إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ |
| 2. | Wa izal kawaakibun tasarat | When the Stars are scattered; | وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ |
| 3. | Wa izal bihaaru fujjirat | When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; | وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ |
| 4. | Wa izal qubooru bu’sirat | And when the Graves are turned upside down;- | وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ |
| 5. | ‘Alimat nafsum maa qaddamat wa akhkharat | (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. | عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ |
| 6. | Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem | O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- | يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ |
| 7. | Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa’adalak | Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; | الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ |
| 8. | Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa’a rakkabak | In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. | فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ |
| 9. | Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen | Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! | كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ |
| 10. | Wa inna ‘alaikum lahaa fizeen | But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- | وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ |
| 11. | Kiraaman kaatibeen | Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): | كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ |
| 12. | Ya’lamoona ma taf’aloon | They know (and understand) all that ye do. | يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ |
| 13. | Innal abraara lafee na’eem | As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; | إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ |
| 14. | Wa innal fujjaara lafee jaheem | And the Wicked – they will be in the Fire, | وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٍ |
| 15. | Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen | Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, | يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ الدِّينِ |
| 16. | Wa maa hum ‘anhaa bighaaa ‘ibeen | And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. | وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ |
| 17. | Wa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen | And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? | وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ |
| 18. | Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen | Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? | ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ |
| 19. | Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai’anw walamru yawma’izil lillaah | (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. | يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ۖ وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ |
