| 1. | Sabbihisma Rabbikal A’laa | Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, | سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى |
| 2. | Allazee khalaqa fasawwaa | Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; | الَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ |
| 3. | Wallazee qaddara fahadaa | Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; | وَالَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ |
| 4. | Wallazeee akhrajal mar’aa | And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, | وَالَّذِي أَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعَىٰ |
| 5. | Faja’alahoo ghusaaa’an ahwaa | And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. | فَجَعَلَهُ غُثَاءً أَحْوَىٰ |
| 6. | Sanuqri’uka falaa tansaaa | By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, | سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسَىٰ |
| 7. | Illaa maa shaaa’al laah; innahoo ya’lamul jahra wa maa yakhfaa | Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. | إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ |
| 8. | Wa nu-yassiruka lilyusraa | And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). | وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ |
| 9. | Fazakkir in nafa’atizzikraa | Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). | فَذَكِّرْ إِنْ نَفَعَتِ الذِّكْرَىٰ |
| 10. | Sa yazzakkaru maiyakhshaa | The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): | سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَخْشَىٰ |
| 11. | Wa yatajannabuhal ashqaa | But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, | وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْأَشْقَى |
| 12. | Allazee yaslan Naaral kubraa | Who will enter the Great Fire, | الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ |
| 13. | Summa laa yamootu feehaa wa laa yahyaa | In which they will then neither die nor live. | ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ |
| 14. | Qad aflaha man tazakkaa | But those will prosper who purify themselves, | قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكَّىٰ |
| 15. | Wa zakaras ma Rabbihee fasallaa | And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. | وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلَّىٰ |
| 16. | Bal tu’siroonal hayaatad dunyaa | Day (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; | بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا |
| 17. | Wal Aakhiratu khairunw wa abqaa | But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. | وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰ |
| 18. | Inna haazaa lafis suhu fil oolaa | And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- | إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الْأُولَىٰ |
| 19. | Suhufi Ibraaheema wa Moosaa | The Books of Abraham and Moses. | صُحُفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ |
